Mako and Kei Komuro's "No marriage!“ March Demonstration Held in Tokyo
On the 10th, a march demonstration was
held in Tokyo to oppose the marriage of Mako (29), the eldest daughter of the
Akishino family, and Kei Komuro (30).
The event was organized by Kei, an
imperial family-watcher and YouTube star, who has been holding demonstrations
against the marriage in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Osaka, Fukuoka and other cities since
last month, saying that "a sincere explanation should be given to the
people" in light of the large amount of taxpayer money being used for Mr.
Komuro's security and the various allegations against the Komuro family. This
is the first time I've seen such a thing.
This was the first march demonstration
since the protest, and nearly 100 supporters gathered at Hibiya Park, the
starting point, nearly 80% of whom were women.
Due to the new Corona disaster, they did
not raise a chorus, but instead each held up a placard saying, "We want to
protect the Imperial Family," "Stop the farcical press
conference," and "Investigate the alleged embezzlement of blood tax
by the Komuro mother and son". They paraded through the crowded streets of Ginza
and Yurakucho on a Sunday afternoon. The event ended without any confusion as
the police set up a tight security system.
