Mako and Komuro's Marriage Report Accepted, Questions to be Answered in Document

    According to reports, the Imperial Household Agency has announced just after 10 a.m. on the 26 th that the marriage notification of Mako, the eldest daughter of the Akishino family, and Kei Komuro has been accepted.     Mako left the Imperial Family and become Mako Komuro.  She left Akasaka Palace where she has lived for 30 years, and she and Komuro are scheduled to hold a press conference in Tokyo this afternoon.       Initially, the two were scheduled to answer questions from reporters directly, but the IHA announced yesterday that after the two speak at the beginning of the press conference, they will leave the room after providing written answers to five questions received in advance.     The reason for the cancellation of the question-and-answer session, according to the IHA, is that "Mako was strongly shocked by the fact that some of the questions she received in advance could give the impression that false information was true," and that the deci

Mako, the eldest daughter of the Akishino family, and Kei Komuro are expected to hold a press conference at a hotel in Tokyo in the afternoon on the morning of October 26.   My personal feelings on this matter are as follows: I'm fed up. To be honest, I want it to be over soon. I don't expect much from the press conference, so I won't be watching it live. Therefore, I won't report it in detail on this blog either.   Like many Japanese people, I spent my younger years without much interest in the Imperial Family, and only in my 50s did I start to gather information about it. As I became more interested in the subject, I was astonished to learn how the current Emperor Emeritus and his wife and the Akishino family have exercised privileges that would not be allowed under the current constitution, how they have wasted taxpayers' money, and how they have persecuted the current Emperor and Empress.   And then there was the Mako and Komuro fiasco, which
