Mako and Komuro's Marriage Report Accepted, Questions to be Answered in Document

According to reports, the Imperial Household Agency has announced just after 10 a.m. on the 26th that the marriage notification of Mako, the eldest daughter of the Akishino family, and Kei Komuro has been accepted.

Mako left the Imperial Family and become Mako Komuro.  She left Akasaka Palace where she has lived for 30 years, and she and Komuro are scheduled to hold a press conference in Tokyo this afternoon.

Initially, the two were scheduled to answer questions from reporters directly, but the IHA announced yesterday that after the two speak at the beginning of the press conference, they will leave the room after providing written answers to five questions received in advance.

The reason for the cancellation of the question-and-answer session, according to the IHA, is that "Mako was strongly shocked by the fact that some of the questions she received in advance could give the impression that false information was true," and that the decision was based on consultation with doctors.

On the other hand, the two have a strong desire to talk directly about their feelings about marriage, so they decided to take this form.
