Imperial Privilege and Fascism: More Terrifying than the Komuro Scandal: On the Subject of an Email

 



 

 

I received an email from a reader of this blog yesterday.

 

This blog was established out of concern over the current state of the Japanese Imperial Family, including the Mako/Komuro issue, and out of a sense of crisis over the lack of accurate coverage of these issues overseas.

 

Contrary to what many major newspapers in Japan and abroad are reporting, there are very few people around me who are in favor of Mako and Komuro's marriage with open arms. It is by no means simply because Komuro's mother has not paid her debts. There are very many, weighty reasons that cannot be reported abroad. In particular, this e-mail points out the "abuse of imperial privilege”.

 

The level of interest in this issue naturally varies from person to person among the Japanese people, but I would like to introduce this as a sample to show what the relatively intelligent and well-informed people who have no direct interest in the Imperial Family think about it.

It's easy to notice the humanity of Mr. Komuro and the waste of blood tax money.

In the background of the series of problems

The establishment of a museum in New York, the amendment of the Lawyers Act, the sudden award of medals from countries that support ODA, etc.

I think that the situation is critical because it seems that the Imperial Family's power and intentions are able to intervene in various aspects of the use of government funds, laws, politics, and diplomatic relations.

 

If we include the relationship between Prince Akishino and the Okuno law firm and the study abroad program, the suspicion of the use of the imperial family for Mr. Komuro has a strong tinge of violation of the Constitution.

 

In addition, the unnatural manipulation of speech and news reports, and the silence of the police and other agencies regarding the crime, etc.

It is also frightening to see the influence of the government in all areas.

 

I am afraid that the people will lose the will to confront this crisis because of the misinformation sent abroad, which is replaced by human rights issues.

(1) First, the opening of the museum in New York.

"In May of this year, the Digital Museum of Japanese History was opened to introduce photographs, documents and other materials on its website in order to pass on the footsteps of Japanese and Japanese-Americans in New York City to future generations. The Japanese who are skeptical about this marriage assume that this is to secure Mako a job in New York.

 

 

(2)Amendments to the Law Concerning the Handling of Legal Services by Foreign Lawyers

In May of last year, the "Act for Partial Amendment of the Act on Special Measures Concerning the Handling of Legal Services by Foreign Lawyers" was enacted and came into effect.

As a result, the scope of "international arbitration cases" in which foreign lawyers can represent clients in proceedings in Japan has been greatly expanded. Naturally, if you are admitted to the bar in New York, as Komuro is, you will be able to play an active role in Japan (although the results have not yet been announced).

 

It is also speculated that this is amendment to the law that was made for the convenience of Kei Komuro alone.

 

 

(3)Sudden Order of Merit from a Country Where Japan Provides ODA Support

On the 5th of this month, the Paraguayan government presented Prince Akishino and Mako with the country's highest level of decoration.

On the 12th, Brazil also presented Mako with a medal of honor.

Mako has visited Paraguay in 2,016 and Brazil in 2018, so the reason for the award is her contribution to the goodwill between Japan and both countries.

However, there are other visits to foreign countries by the royal family, and it must appear unnatural to have them all at once, and at this time before marriage.

 

I personally feel the same way about the e-mail I received this time. The various allegations against Komuro and his son are also problematic.

More than that, the imperial prerogative that seems to have been exercised in this matter is frightening. It makes me feel that we have been shown that the symbolic emperor system and the sovereignty of the people as stipulated in the Japanese Constitution have already collapsed. This is no different from North Korean or Chinese Communist Party rule.

 

Why doesn't the Western media, which only ridicules the Japanese for their "opposition to marriage," see the fact that their allies' democracy is crumbling as a problem?

Kei Komuro's Mother Criminally Charged with Fraud

What is the Komuro's Debt Problem?  After the death of Kei Komuro's father, Kei's mother Kayo, received financial support of over 4 million yen (some $36.44K) from her then fiancé during the engagement period in the name of Kei's school fees and living expenses. Mako Komuro and Kei Attend Funeral of Mako's grandfather with Akishino Family

    Tatsuhiko Kawashima, professor emeritus at Gakushuin University, father of Noriko Akishino and grandfather of Mako Komuro, died of mesothelioma on April 4 at the age of 81. In accordance with his wishes, a family funeral was held on the 6th. Kei Komuro Fails NY State Bar Exam?

  The NY State Board of Law Examiners announced the list of successful applicants on its official website on July 29.   https://www.nybarexam.org/EXJ21/July2021Results.htm   I can't find Komuro's name on the "K to L" page of this list of successful candidates.   According to reports in Japan, the salary at the law firm where Komuro is employed is about 18 million yen for a lawyer in his first year.
