Kei Komuro's Mother Criminally Charged with Fraud
With the wedding of Kei Komuro to Princess
Mako, the eldest daughter of the Akishino family, approaching on October 26,
Komuro's mother, Kayo, was criminally accused of fraud on October 6, and
journalist Shinohara Soichiro, who is active on YouTube and other media, filed
a complaint with the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office.
There are two reasons why Kayo was accused.
The first is the allegation of fraudulent
receipt of the survivor's pension. Kayo lost her husband, Toshikatsu, in 2002,
and has been receiving a survivor's pension since then. However, there was a
period of time during which she received financial support from her ex-fiancee,
Mr. A.
During her engagement with Mr. A, she reportedly
sent him e-mails in which she asked him
to keep her de facto marriage with Mr. A a secret while she was receiving her
husband's survivor's pension. If she began to live with another man after her
husband's death, she would no longer be eligible to receive the survivor's
pension. However, in order to receive support from Mr. A and also receive the
survivor's pension, Kayo tried to conceal the fact that she was de facto
married and sent emails to Mr. A urging him not to tell anyone. In addition, she
was living with a metal engraver at a different time from Mr. A. If this is
considered a common-law marriage, it is accused of being a fraudulent receipt
of the survivor's pension.

The other reason is the allegation of
fraudulent receipt of sickness benefits. There was a time around 2018 when Kayo
was working as a full-time employee at a long-established confectionery store,
when she took a leave of absence from work due to an "adjustment disorder.
At that time, she applied for and was accepted by the Tokyo Confectionery
Health Insurance Association, which the confectionery store she worked at was a
member of, and received benefits for about a year and a half.
The above is a worker's right, but the
problem is that he was allegedly working at another restaurant and getting paid
while receiving sick leave. According to media reports, he was reportedly
working as a live-in employee at a restaurant in Karuizawa, Nagano, run by an
acquaintance. The summer is the season in Karuizawa, and it seems that she went
back to her home after the summer, but came back the following summer to work
again. He reportedly worked mainly in the backyard, but also reportedly worked
in the hall.
Shinohara, who has filed a criminal
complaint against Kayo, argues that if these fraudulent payments are true, it
may be a case of fraud.
"Sometimes the complaint is rejected,
but this time it was not, so we have passed the first barrier. The next
obstacle is whether or not it will be accepted. If it is accepted, a full-scale
investigation will begin. If the mother of Mako's 'fiancé' becomes the subject
of the investigation, it will be an unprecedented situation.” A newspaper
journalist said.
The fate of the charges is unclear, but the fact that the mother-in-law of one of the most high-profile brides in the world is now facing criminal charges is certainly unprecedented.
It is organized criminal cover-up for privileged people as well as becoming a privileged person.
ReplyDeleteHowever, Japanese can't overlook Kei Komuro's mother's criminals, she should be given a punishment in a fair trial.
